Shari Solanis plays Angela. Angela is a free spirit that lives in the "now" and is the "Now" part of the title. She is an illegal Nicaraguan who's feisty and blunt nature makes her that much more attractive. She embraces her sexuality and nudity while trying to teach Bill to do the same. James Wortham plays Bill who is a reserved, somewhat uptight, banker. Bill jumps bail and has plans to leave the country when he meets Angela who offers him a safe haven for a few days until he makes his departure. Angela is a very confident woman who had strong opinions on politics, sex, and life in general. As the hours pass in her apartment in L.A., she peels back his layers to show him how what he has been missing by being so uptight that he is not able to enjoy the now and never has. Although the talk of politics is part of the premise for the film it doesn't take away from the main theme which is sexuality. After watching this film I am now a huge fan of Shari Solanis. She grew up in South Philly but you would never guess she was born and raised in the States as she is so believable to her character. Looking forward to seeing how far Shari's career will blossom. The film is not rated but would receive an NC17 or X do to the amount of sex and nudity. A very hot movie in Blu-ray!
