This being the 50th anniversary of the awards, the show was mostly about honoring itself through performances, with some really odd pairings, including Alicia Keyes singing and playing piano with a videotape of Frank Sinatra. High points were the Foo Fighters performance and Beyonce singing Proud Mary with Tina Turner.
