PURCHASE THE DVD: Bliss: 6 Days (2004)

If you think Red Shoe Diaries is too hardcore maybe Bliss is more to your taste. This series airs on Canadian TV and also in the US on the Oxygen network in an edited form. It's a classic erotica anthology series in the tradition of the Skinimax greats, except that it's even softer core. In some episodes there's no nudity at all, while in others it amounts to a nip slip or two. But there are some episodes that are pretty damned hot. It's clearly geared toward woman since I don't know many guys who'd put up with this little amount of action.

Following a farm accident, Anna (Michele Duquet), a strong and feisty middle-aged farm woman finds herself without her lackluster and predictable husband for the first time. She hires Mike (Callum Keith Rennie), an unassuming, attractive 35-year old drifter to help with farm chores while her husband recovers in hospital. To her surprise, this sexually and emotionally repressed woman develops an intimate rapport with the farmhand, one that brings out many lost and buried feelings. As her husband's return draws near, she must decide whether she is willing to take the plunge with this new man and leave behind all that is familiar. This is one of the episodes with very little nudity, which is disappointing, considering how good some episodes of this series have been.
