Nude Celebs: Melanie Griffith - Jake's (Craig Wasson)voyeuristic tendencies get him into trouble when he's played for a patsy in a murder plot hatched by new friend Sam (Gregg Henry). Jake watches a beautiful woman dance and masturbate across the Hollywood Hills through a telescope, not realizing it's not the woman he thinks. Unfortunately, the plot has holes big enough to drive a truck through, but this early effort from director Brian De Palma does show some of his stylistic flurishes. It's just hard to believe that he followed up classics like Scarface and Carrie with this. Especially weak is the bland lead, Wasson, who's so boring no one cares what happens to him. At least there's some good, early nudity from Melanie Griffith,who plays porn star Holly Body. Also starring Deborah Shelton.
