PURCHASE THE DVD: Body Shots (1999)

Yet another take on the classic "Rashomon," this movie follows a rape and gets into the whole "he said, she said" thing, showing the events from both the guy's (Jerry O'Connell) and the girl's (Tara Reid) points of view. It could have been a really awful movie, but strong performances from the leads and the supporting cast, including Ron Livingston and Emily Proctor, make this movie stand out. It should have been a bigger hit at the movies and shows that Reid's got some promise as an actress if she can stop drinking long enough. The sex scenes are great and intense. Reid was the pure girl that every guy dreams of in the "American Pie" movies, but here she's all dirtied up and sexy, a great reason to own this movie. Some of the best sex scenes with a mainstream actress that have been recently shot. Proctor (CSI: Miami) has a pretty nice little bondage scene too, though she doesn't show as much as Tara.
