PURCHASE THE DVD: Burn Notice (2007)

Michael Weston (Jeffrey Donovan) is in the middle of a CIA operation when he receives his "burn notice," which not only means he's fired, but they also deny his existance and take everything away from him. They park Michael in his hometown of Miami, where he takes on odd jobs to help friends of friends and his plagued by his mother (Sharon Gless) and former lover, ex-IRA soldier Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar). The series also stars Bruce Campbell as one of Michal's old contacts. The show's got a great, fun vibe and Gabreille really stands out as a crazy, sexy ex how can't decide whether she'd rather get back with Michael or blow something up. USA Network has been trying to find a vehicle for Donovan for a while (failed shows "Touching Evil" "Witchblade") and it looks like they finally found the right fit. USA has already renewed this show for a second season, due Summer 2008, which is a smart move.
