Nude Celebs: Taimie Hannum - When a movie features porn-stars Shyla, (here billed as Amanda Auclair), Taimie Hannum, and Ashley Long in the leads and was directed by someone under an obvious pseudonym, it’s safe to say you shouldn’t expect the following: high production values, decent acting, a story of any caliber. Yet when it’s a softcore production, the presence of adult entertainers and a masked helmer usually indicates you’ll be getting what you came for – perhaps in spades, and unless you’re a fan of Lifetime or Oxygen TV movies starring Tori Spelling, the title Call Girl Wives will attract people looking for boobs, boffing and bush. In this instance, said audience will be heartily satisfied.
Call Girl Wives is arguably one of the hottest softcore pictures to have hit the scene in recent years, and it does have some nice production value, purportedly having been shot in a mansion formally owned by one Marilyn Monroe. While it follows the recent “porn-without-penetration” trend set by companies like Torchlight Pictures and MRG Entertainment, there’s something about the zeal of its performers that sets it above much of its competition. For their parts, Auclair, Hannum and especially Ashley Long, don’t just turn up the heat – they threaten to burn a hole in the camera and melt the master tapes. Long, with her Christine McVie looks, will no doubt make it an interesting night for any longtime Fleetwood Mac fan, while Auclair and Hannum bring the expected big guns for their scenes. Also along for the ride are blonde Kelle Marie who provides some serious second half steam in a lesbian coupling with Long, and brunette Ashley Blue who takes a break from her usually more – ahem – strenuous activities to participate here in the kind of training video that would really motivate new hires.
The plot finds our trio of lovelies unsatisfied by their inattentive husbands, and thus looking for gainful employment, resulting in their deployment of their “inner whores.” Brittany Andrews shows up looking all hot-and-bothered as the Madam of the call girl agency, but she does little other than press the power button on a remote since apparently part of one’s duties at this agency is to create a video document while servicing Johns. Hmmm.
Regardless of plot weaknesses and a head-scratching final ten minutes that plays out like a string of sex vignettes tossed into the salad mixer, Call Girl Wives is energetic, creative and well-produced softcore that’s bound to light some fires in DVD players once it’s released in the U.S. For now, the fires burn in the U.K. where lucky blokes can understand Ashley Long’s dialogue even when it’s not consisting of expletives during coitus. Like most singers from Europe when singing in English, pornstars from abroad loose their accents when getting the Holy Hell pumped out of them.
