PURCHASE THE DVD: Confessions of an Adult Film Star 2 (2004)

Excellent, extremely sexy and well-edited bit of erotica interviews six well-known porn starlets about their secret, real life bedroom desires. Then, of course, we’re invited to witness them in flagranti delicto while they get their ya-ya’s on with their boyfriends, husbands, best girlfriends and random girls next door.

In all seriousness, this is hot, hot, hot! Placing the women into situations where they play themselves and getting a roaming cinema verite look, the movie honestly feels more like a reality television program than it does softcore. Think of the television series Voyeur and the subsequent movie and you’ve got the right vibe. With the confessors being Olivia Saint, Jezebelle Bond, Dru Berrymore, , Keri Windsor, T.J. Hart and Nicole Sheridan, you’ve got an excellent start with the talent ofn display. But then you add Kylie Wyote, Felony,, Caroline Monroe, Ann Marie, and Beverly Lynne in rather wonderful “supporting turns and what you’ve got is an hour-and-a-half of bumping, grinding, moaning and screaming that won’t just melt your TV screen, but might also melt your stand and the floor upon which it all previously stood.

This is, without a doubt, some of the best, most voyeuristic stuff you’re liable to find in the softcore market, and though it’s clearly produced on the cheap, with near consumer-level video cameras doing the shooting, there’s something about the hand-held photography and precise editing that makes the entire package work better than more long-winded presentations from the likes of MRG, Retromedia and Moonlight/Torchlight. A must own for fans of “hard” softcore, it’s not recommended as a “couples” movie unless your partner likes three-ways with two gals, since more often than not the scenes seemed to swing that way.
