PURCHASE THE DVD: Deadwood (2004)
Fictional western series set in the real life gold rush town of Deadwood, featuring real people from historical Deadwood, such as Wild Bill Hiccok (Keith Carradine) and Seth Bullock (Tmothy Olyphant). Excellent show, even though the first season was kind of slow to get started. Although Bullock is the hero, and Olyphant is very good, the star of the show is clearly Ian McShane, who plays the man pulling all the strings in Deadwood, Al Swearengen. His performance is amazing, funny as hell and scary at the same time. He makes Tony Soprano look like a pussy. Also starring Molly Parker, John Hawkes, Paula Malcomson, William Sanderson and Brad Dourif.
