Thomas Vinterberg ("The Celebration") stylizes and satirizes America's gun fetish in this drama written by fellow Danish provocateur Lars von Trier. Set in a fictionalized American mining town, the story follows young Dick (Jamie Bell), who finds a vintage handgun and names it "Wendy." Forming an exclusive club of armed young outcasts, Dick's "Dandies" attempt to live by a code of pacifism in a world where violence is always a hair's breadth from pulling the trigger.
