PURCHASE THE DVD: Death Wish 3 (1985)

Another one of those 80’s flicks from the “so-bad-it’s-good” canon, Death Wish 3 finds good ol’ Charlie Bronson reprising his role as Paul Kersey and mowing down all manner of completely unrepentant gang-bangers who have overrun a distressed neighborhood of old folks and victimized minorities. Full of violence and retribution that’ll make you feel downright giddy, the movie is chock full of unintentional laughs, especially when Bronson gets a romantic subplot with Deborah Raffin that’s about as involving as sifting sand. Their complete lack of chemistry helps when Raffin’s character exits the movie and Bronson remains as steely-eyed as ever.

Of note are two rather curious early roles for Alex Winter (Bill of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure ) and the lovely Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi on Star Trek: The Next Generation).
