Featured Nude or Sexy Actress: Nicola Kelly - Probably best-known as a mid-career stop for a slumming Tanya Roberts, Hotline was a sexy late-night cable series featuring Roberts as a sultry radio show host that takes calls from listeners reporting their most intimate and erotic experiences. Later giving up her seat to genre vet Shannon Tweed, while on the show Roberts gave the proceedings a bit more validity. In fact, the production quality in general for Hotline was rather excellent for this sort of fare. That said, the episodes generally do not skimp on the skin and the half-hour vignettes often starred both gorgeous and talented actresses.
In Hung Jury, two sequestered jurors (Nicola Kelly and Sal Rendino) cannot deny their mutual attraction even as they decide a man's fate in his murder trial. At first it seems Rendino is holding up the proceedings just so he can be with Kelly who will be running off with her fianceé right when the trial ends. Soon, however, it's revealed that Rendino actually isn't sold on the evidence indicting the man. Kind of like 12 Angry Men with boobs, this episode features a more involving storyline than most and is bolstered by strong performances, most notably by Nicola Kelly who brings class and incredible sexiness to her portrayal. This is among softcore TV's best half hours.
