PURCHASE THE DVD: Inside Out: Love the One You're With (1992)

Inside Out was a curious member of the late-night cable TV circuit. Produced by Playboy enterprises in the early 1990’s, the series of 15-minute erotic vignettes gave many future big name talents their first shot at writing and directing including Alexander Payne (Election, About Schmidt) and Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Tears of the Sun).

In the oddly titled but very funny and well-acted Love the One You’re With, a couple meets on a date, then goes back to the man’s place all while speaking completely in descriptive generalities. <> The piece is one of the best of the series thanks to some very clever writing and the excellent performance by the very sexy and talented Serina Robinson, who is apparently better known as Rachel Ryan, in one of her only non-pornographic roles.
