Taut and stylish psychological thriller about an agoraphobic apartment building superintendent (James Caan) who suffers from bizarre visions of a man covered in blood wandering aimlessly in the desert. When one of the tenants turns up dead, he compiles a long list of suspects, including the building's owner (Genevieve Bujold), the dead man's wife Jennifer Tilly, and, because of his mysterious dreams and inexplicable behavior, himself.
