Featured Actress: Lara Flynn Boyle - One of the longest running series on television, Law & Order has maintained it's popularity through numerous cast changes by sticking to its tried and true formula of crime and punishment and keeping the messy lives of its main characters to a minimum. Although Dick Wolf's series clearly owes a debt to forerunners Naked City and Dragnet, Law & Order can be credited with changing the face of television, and not just through it's spin-offs, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: SVU. No, without L&O we certainly would not have television's current highest rated drama, CSI, or its many proceedural clones.
