Nude Celebs: Beverly D'Angelo - While the back-end of Chevy Chase’s career has been embarrassing-cum-non-existent, most will agree he made some great movies after leaving ”Saturday Night Live” in the late 70’s. Perhaps one of his greatest is National Lampoon’s Vacation which casts Chase in his best known role, that of Clark W. Griswold, family man and perennial clutz. Along with his long-suffering wife Ellen, (played by the good-humored and attractive Beverly D’Angelo, and his two children Rusty and Audrey, Clark hits the open roads of America in the family truckster (read: station wagon) on route to Wally World – a giant amusement park. Along the way, various hijinks and shenanigans ensue, including a visit to notorious Cousin Eddie played by a groin-scratching Randy Quaid, and a skinny dipping session with supermodel Christie Brinkley.
Filled with many scripted laughs from 80’s comedy captain John Hughes, the biggest yucks come from Chase’s fantastic comedic skills. His facial expressions, precise timing and tall, wire frame made him, for some time, one of the best big screen comedians in cinematic history.
