After he and his pal are caught by authorities after trying to steal non-alcoholic beer, college bound Michael faces a day in court and his future schooling threatened. Mother Linda, an unemployed nurse, decides to raise money her son's legal defense in a most unorthodox way--steal it from nearby trailers--and hire her shady father as Michael's lawyer.
