Nude Celebs: Betty Rudu - Originally under the impossibly dumb, but oddly more appropriate, working title Dr. Jeckyl and PMS, this update on the age old id vesus ego tale has a chemist working on a new sex-enhancing drug, using himself as a guinea pig only to find himself inexplicably transforming into a hot, busty woman (here played with comedic aplomb by the equally talented and vivacious Stephanie LaFleur). Acknowledging at one point that he "may never leave home again" is a masterstroke on the part of the writers as this is what just about any guy would think if suddenly given complete access at all times to the body of LaFleur. Alas, his plans for infinite self pleasure are interrupted by the lack of stability in his formula. Hence, one minute he's a dude and the next he's sporting blonde locks and d-cups. Knowing this will never do at work or at home, the chemist must find a way to live with this new affliction without getting into too much trouble, all the while attempting to get his actual research off the ground despite some chicanery on the part of some of his detractors.
As directed by softcore veteran Mike Sedan, Sexual Chemistry is a fun enough romp featuring mountains of flesh. Any movie that amply displays LaFleur should earn high marks, but this flick does manage to lose some credit for the horrible soundtrack - a grating assemblage of royalty free tracks that's ruined more than a few mid-to-late 90's genre efforts - and a few poorly executed sex scenes. Still, there are some high points, not the least of which are supporting actress Raisa Ivanic's nipples! Glass cutters, to be sure!
Also getting into the mix is the energetic Chandra Marie, who handles a few spirited romps in the hay with the lead character including the one over the opening credits, and Betty Rudu who, in her only screen appearance, bares it all with a good deal of gusto during a bit of conference room cavorting. Featured as one of the chemist's case studies, fiery redhead Theodora Fredrickson does her best to make her background role memorable, but the tragedy of this flick is that lovely Tara Waggaman never gives up the goods, only hinting at the awesomeness of her bosom in a see-through, tight-fitting blouse in this, her only credited role in a movie.
Missed opportunity aside, LaFleaur and Ivanic make this wild sex fantasy worth the while and most softcore fans would be remiss without this picture in their collection.
