Nude Celebs: Arielle Dombasle - A fairly awkward, but dead-on performance from usual side-player Daniel Stern helps anchor this 80's comedy about a nebbish would-be executive on a weekend reatreat with his stiff of a boss (wonderfully brought to life by veteran actor Christopher Plummer), his primary competitor for a raise, (the terrific Martin Mull) and his boss' gorgeous, improted wife who has eyes for Stern. Along for the ride is Fisher Stevens as a lascivious greaseball photographer, another in the very funny actor's ouvre of ethnically over-the-top characterizations.

Of course, the real draw here is Ms. Arielle Dombasle as the title character, a vivacious, sexually aggressive and thoroughly memorable portrait of a foreign bombshell. She purrs her way through her scenes as a blonde without the dumbness, and while there are moments she appears to be in her own world (the singing on the train sequence, to be sure), she never comes off as a cardboard California blonde. For fans of Dombaqsle, this is a must have that unfortunately is, as of September 2006, only available on VHS.
