Nude Celebs: Keeley Hawes - Adapted from Elizabeth Bowen's novel of the same name, The Last September reveals how family secrets affect life on a country estate in strife-torn 1920s Ireland. Sir Richard Naylor (Michael Gambon) and Lady Myra (Maggie Smith) play host to an odd assortment of family and friends, and their attendant traumas. When one more guest -- Lady Myra's childhood friend Marda Norton (Fiona Shaw) -- is added to the mix, an emotional fuse gets lit.
This movie moves at bit slow, despite a good performance by Fiona Show. What's most notable about it in 2008 is the appearances of a much younger David Tennant, who would go on to play the title role in the revival of Doctor Who, and Keeley Hawes, a former model who starred in the BBC's hit series, Ashes to Ashes, which is a sequel of sorts to Life On Mars. I sought this out because Keeley looks pretty hot in a MIlFy way on Ashes, so I wanted to see how she looked younger, and more importantly, topless! Keeley's got a great rack, which more than makes up for her lack of glamour in this role.
