Nude Celebs: Reese Witherspoon - A fine film in the noir detective tradition. Retired cop and PI Harry Ross (Paul Newman) is taken in by a wealthy Hollywood couple (Gene Hackman and Susan Sarandon) after he's shot bringing their runaway daughter (Reese Witherspoon) back from Mexico. Blackmail turns to murder and Harry finds he can't even trust his oldest friends. All the old pros turn in fine perforances, though it's a little depressing to see how tired 72 year old Newman was. This film features Reese Witherspoon's only on screen nudity to date, a couple well-lit, topless shots. She made this before she really became a star and was probably willing to lose her top for the chance to work with all those Oscar winners. The gamble paid off because not long afterward her career really took off.
