Nude Celebs: Moira Kelly - Without a net and the censors that no doubt dogged him when Twin Peaks was a television phenomenon, David Lynch sought out to solve the true nature and mystery behind the death of Laura Palmer in this gripping, moody and tragic feature. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me while an answer to the huge question “Who killed Laura Palmer?” is also a showcase for Sheryl Lee, the girl who brought Laura Palmer to life. Lee has been trolling around the Hollywood B-list for quite some time, just bubbling under the surface of true stardom. In this movie, the talented, versatile actress shows a wide palette of emotions that move, frighten and ultimately sadden the viewer.
Lynch certainly had his work cut out for him in creating a movie that would bring to a close one of the most celebrated and idiosyncratic TV series in history, and he does well by the mythology of the show. Most of the cast returns, minus Lara Flynn Boyle who opted out of the role of Donna because of a nude scene. That role went to the capable Moira Kelly.
Recommended to those who like tragic dramas and sordid mystery. Few do this kind of thing as well as Lynch, and this one actually has a satisfying, if ultimately depressing, resolution.
