PURCHASE THE DVD: Walking Tall (2004)
Call this 2004 version of Walking Tall a remake of the 1973 film if you want, but it isn't. It's more of a "kinda-like".
The 1973 film told the real-life story of Tennessee sheriff Buford Pusser, a wrestler who returned to his home town to find corruption and crime. He became sheriff and cleaned up the town with a four-foot-long wooden club, before he was killed in a mysterious car wreck.
In this modernized version, a U.S. Army Special Forces vet returns to his home town to find corruption and crime, and......yeah it's the same story with different characters.
Lots of ass-kicking fun; no acting awards in this one, but it's still enjoyable, especially if your a fan of The Rock.
