Nude Celebs: Annie Potts - John Candy left behind a comedic legacy when he died at old 43 years-old of a heart attack in Mexico back in 1994. The over-sized comedian is best remembered for his turns in comedies such as Stripes, Uncle Buck, and Spaceballs. It’s up for argument whether or not Who’s Harry Crumb should be a flick included in this late-great actor’s canon. While many believe it to be dunderheaded and cloying, there is an irresistible charm to Candy’s portrayal of buffoon detective Harry Crumb that makes the movie succeed in spite of its seeming determination to be nothing but forgettable and insipid.

The plot follows one Harry Crumb, an inept detective who is the last in a long-line of truly gifted sleuths, as he tries to solve the mystery kidnapping of a rich daddy’s girl (played by the old-school beauty Renée Coleman). Hired by the rather corrupt executive who heads Crumb’s family’s agency (the insidious Jeffrey Jones), Crumb is a sure-bet not to uncover a plot hatched by the executive, the girl’s step mother (Annie Potts) and the step mother’s tennis player boyfriend, (a goofy Tim Thomerson). But with the help of the missing girl’s intrepid little sister (Shawnee Smith), perhaps Harry will end up being true to his namesake afterall!

Goofy and fun, this one is for fans of lame-brained comedy and the comedic stylings of Mr. Candy.
