Movie: Erotic Seduction
Director: David Levy
Critic rating: 4
Carrie and Jack, a pair of college students, decide that their final project for a human behavior class will be an opposition paper rather than a conclusion one. THe project assignment, of course, is Gender Differences in Seduction and Mating and the pair agree to use their personal data to back their conflicting point of views. Carrie thinks women hold all the cards in relationships while Jack aims to show that men can certainly steer a relationship where they want it to go.
While pretty typical of late Aught's softcore from Mainline Releasing Group because of the extended, rather graphic sex scenes and low production values, Erotic Seduction tries a little harder to make its characters actual living, breathing individuals. This is helped in part by the charismatic leads, especially Michelle Maylene who couples acting talent with a body to die for. The movie's overall logic stumbles repeatedly when it focuses on trysts between ancillary characters that have little to do with the plot - if anything at all. But those looking for bump-and-grind softcore will certainly not be disappointed, although the cast is mostly populated by single-timers like Jaylynn, Tracy and even an uncredited Unknown Erotic Seducer. Fortunately, you get some nice action from lovely hardcore dilettante Sasha Grey.
