American housewife Marilyn Jordan (Susan Anspach) seems to have everything she could possibly want -- including a successful husband, beautiful children and a palatial house by the sea. But when she meets a group of Yugoslavian immigrants at the airport, Marilyn is swept into an irresistible gypsy world of dangerous pleasure and newfound freedom. This film was the only comedy to screen at the 1981 Cannes Film Festival.
