Movie: Bachelor Party
Director: Neal Israel
Critic rating: 5
Long before he was winning Oscars for "serious" roles, Tom Hanks was yucking it up in Bachelor Party. The 1984 comedy remains one of the most charismatic performances he's turned in during his long and distinguished career. While the movie is crass, brash and at times frightfully amoral, it's also wickedly funny, powered mostly by ribaldry like a penis being served as a hot dog to Hanks's soon-to-be mother-in-law, and a girl-on-girl act that mistakenly ends up at a frou-frou bridal shower (starring great sports Rosanna Katon and Dani Douthette.)
This movie is a ton of fun, and that's not even including some of the finer moments turned in by Angela Aames as a cleavage-baring MILF and Toni Alessandrini who belly dances with a donkey! If that's not enough, you get stellar full-frontal nudity from the positively amazing Monique Gabrielle while the bridal shower (fronted by young and sexy Tawney Kitain) gives several gals (including Tracy Smith, Wendie Jo Sperber and Deborah Harmon) to show off their best assets in Frederick's of Hollywood's finest. Of course, some of the best nudity comes from a pair of Unknown Bachelor Party Stag Film Stars who bare it all in a hilariously edited porno flick.
